Several artists like trompe l'oeil effects, and Quebec artist Jeffrey Poirier is one of them. Here you see his work during an exhibition in Laval. The work of art, which evokes both digital and organic art, rested on a white wooden structure with a height of more or less 5 feet which gave the impression that the work filled the entire structure which is really not the case.
Our mandate at Plastica was to manufacture transparent acrylic panels in order to display and protect the work of art. One of the important criteria of the artist was that the acrylic panels were easy to dismantle since the work would be exhibited in various exhibitions across Quebec and even in Paris, France.
We offered him acrylic for its perfect transparency, its lightness and also for its durability. Our CNC digital cutting machines cut the parts that would be used to form the showcase.
